The truth is, your body is changing, and so is your life. But that doesn’t mean you have to settle for fatigue, fog, or frustration.
Hi, I’m Martine, founder of MC Wellness Hub. Like so many women stepping into their 50s, I didn’t recognize myself anymore. My body was changing in ways I couldn’t explain. Sleepless nights, stubborn weight that wouldn’t budge, hot flashes, heart palpitations, brain fog, and energy crashes that made even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming. I remember thinking: Is this just my new normal?
At the same time, I went through one of the hardest seasons of my life. I lost my husband of 20 years and my mother not long after. The grief was unbearable, and it only amplified the changes I was already experiencing. My body ached, my energy disappeared, and I felt completely disconnected from myself. For a long time, I thought the fatigue, aches, and emotional ups and downs were only symptoms of my grief. And while grief certainly played a role, I’ve since learned that much of what I was experiencing was my body responding to hormone shifts.
When doctors told me surgery was the only option for my herniated discs, I knew there had to be another way. That’s when I turned to functional and holistic medicine. It opened my eyes to how powerful personalized lab testing, targeted nutrition, lifestyle shifts, and emotional healing can be in supporting women through this season.
I won’t pretend my journey is “finished”. I’m still navigating postmenopause myself, learning new things about my body every day. But along the way, I’ve trained in functional health approaches, studied women’s hormonal health, and built a framework that helps women in midlife cut through the confusion and find clarity, confidence, and renewed energy.

Why I Created MC Wellness Hub
I created MC Wellness Hub to support women in their 40s, 50s, and beyond who are navigating the unexpected twists of midlife: hormonal changes, stubborn belly fat, restless nights, brain fog, low sex drive, or simply not feeling like themselves anymore.
What sets my approach apart is that I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all answers. Wellness looks different for every woman, and it should. Together, we look at the whole picture:

A Few Fun Facts About Me
☕ I’m a recovering coffee addict! For many years, coffee was my comfort and companion until lab testing revealed it was wreaking havoc on my body (yes, even the organic kind!). It was tough to let go, but I’ve since found some delicious, body-loving alternatives to fuel my mornings.
🎬 My guilty pleasure? C & K dramas, and old TV shows. I’m a sucker for sappy stories, especially with a warm cup of tea on Sunday nights. Now that my three kids are grown, I’m catching up on all the TV episodes I missed while raising them.
🍜 I’m a foodie at heart and love exploring different cultures through their cuisine. Taiwan holds a special place in my heart. It’s one of my favorite places I’ve lived and where some of my fondest childhood memories were made.
📸 In my downtime, I love digital scrapbooking to capture our family’s cherished moments. It’s a creative outlet and a meaningful way to hold onto life’s little joys.
🍲 Cooking is both therapy and play. I love experimenting with healthy, flavorful recipes to feed the soul. Sometimes they’re a total disaster but luckily, my family is happy to eat whatever ends up on the table.
📚 I’m endlessly curious about the mind-body connection. Beyond nutrition and anatomy, I’m drawn to books on metaphysics, self-growth, and how our energy shapes the lives we live.
At my core, I’m a woman navigating through the messiness of midlife with more than a few “what now?” moments. Life just isn’t what it used to be. I’ve felt the deep fatigue, the unexpected aches, the sting of loss, and the nagging sense that life somehow took a left turn while I wasn’t looking.
But here I am, still standing, still growing, and still figuring it out, one overly-steeped cup of tea at a time. I may not have it all together (who does?), but I’ve learned to choose me, again and again. And that, if I may so humbly say, is its own kind of victory.
