This Festive Chai Hot Chocolate combines the cozy comfort of rich cocoa with the warm, spiced aroma of chai. It’s creamy, dairy-free, and perfect for sipping by the fire or sharing during the holidays.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups (960 ml) unsweetened almond milk
  • 4 tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp. maple syrup
  • ⅛ tsp. ground cardamom
  • ⅛ tsp. ground allspice
  • ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp. ground cloves
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. ground ginger

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients into a medium pot over medium-high heat.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil and whisk until everything is fully dissolved.
  3. Reduce heat and gently simmer for 3 minutes.
  4. Pour into cups and serve immediately. Enjoy warm!

Optional Toppings

  • Frothed almond milk or coconut whipped cream
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon or cocoa powder
  • A cinnamon stick for garnish
