Buffalo Tofu Nuggets

Serves: 2
Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 12–14 minutes

Crispy, spicy, and protein-packed, these Buffalo Tofu Nuggets are a lighter, plant-based take on classic wings. Air-fried for extra crunch without the excess oil, they’re perfect for a snack, appetizer, or light meal.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz extra-firm tofu, pressed and cubed
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (such as Frank’s RedHot), divided
  • 1½ tsp cornstarch
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • Olive oil cooking spray
  • Celery sticks, for serving
  • 2 tbsp light ranch or nonfat Greek-yogurt ranch per serving

Directions

  1. In a medium bowl, toss the tofu cubes with 1 tbsp hot sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 10–15 minutes.
  2. Sprinkle tofu with cornstarch and toss until evenly coated.
  3. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with olive oil and arrange tofu in a single layer.
  4. Spray the tops lightly with oil. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 12–14 minutes, shaking halfway, until golden and crisp.
  5. Transfer the tofu to a bowl and toss with the remaining 1 tbsp hot sauce.
  6. Serve with celery sticks and ranch or Greek yogurt dip.
